My Skintone
I have always been told that I have olive skin, yet my skin seems to change every season. i always have a slightly yellowy tint to my skin, if anything I would be olive in the winter and a deep orange in the summer. When I tan in the summer I often get confused as Latin American or Middle Eastern, specifically Israeli for some reason. I think it's interesting to use "olive" to describe people of mediteranian origin, especially Italians. It has such a cultural weight, but is not necessarily true. My skin is almost a yellowy lavender, with some huse of green, and some salmon in it. I feel offended by being called white, especially being of Sicilian heritage, my "skin race" my "Color" is "olive," not "white."
