Radioactive Sea - weekly photo

To keep help combat the radioactive leak, the water is being dyed to track the flow of the toxic ooze. The duality to this problem is that people are still living like refugees: minimal food, large spaces transformed into community shelters. The article I was reading on npr was talking about the conflict between the urgency of helping the people vs. the urgency of preventing another natural disaster. There are a lot of really really BIG problems in the world today. The term global issues could not be more intune with our times. I think about all the misplaced effort we put into maintaining our arbitrary systems, when you climb those invisible ladders you can forget where you started from. Forget what really matters.

We need to start repairing what we already have.
